CHEK THIS OUT!!

GUINEA FOWL GUEST RESORT, MARSH STREET

Bed and breakfast and Self Catering. Can sleep total of 9 persons.

GENERAL SITUATION

Albertinia is a quiet and restful town, 350 kms from Cape Town and is one of the first towns on the breathtakingly beautiful Garden Route and is ideally situated to serve as a destination for a short break visit to historical and unique places - the town and vicinity's historical ties go back more than a century.

There are Aloe factories, manufacturing unique food and cosmetic products from the aloe plants.

Visit the indigenous rural townships which is an example of the cultural diversities and traditional lifestyles in South Africa.

Farming activities including Cape fynbos with some rare and unique species to be seen during the summer and autumn seasons.

Some of the attractions within easy reach are Bungy jumping from the Gourits River Bridge; Shark watching at Mossel Bay; Ferry trips to Seal Island from Mossel Bay; Outenique Choo-Tjoe train trips - George - Knysna - George; Whale watching; Game Drives.

All along the South Coast beautiful broad sandy beaches breeched by rocky outcrops and intersected by rivers, lagoons and estuaries attract large crowds of summer visitors to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and outdoor activities such as surfing, boating, fishing, and much more.

Using Albertinia as your base an interesting day trip may take you through Riversdale, up into the Klein Karoo towns of Ladismith, Calitzdorp, Oudtshoorn, George, Mossel Bay and back to Albertinia. Travel via the spectacular Robinson Pass to Oudtshoorn and spend the day visiting the many attractions, such as the ostrich farms, Cango caves and wild game farms, returning via the Outeniqua pass through George and Mossel Bay to Albertinia.
Another route by way of the Swartberg pass opens up the hamlets of Prince Albert, Meiringspoort and De Rust to the visitor. The rugged and beautiful mountain passes of the Swartberg Mountains form some of the most fascinating topography and nature of South Africa.

In addition, the area offers a rich heritage due to its role as a transport and migration route between the Cape coast and inland mining areas. Spend some time wandering through the wine and fruit farms of the Breede River Valley. This route will take you from Albertinia via Riversdale and Heidelberg to the towns of Swellendam, McGregor, Robertson, Ashton, Montagu and back via Barrydale, Heidelberg and Albertinia. "The Breede River Valley conceals no diamonds, nor the mountains gold. The gold is in its sunshine, the sparkle in its air and the wealth in its fertile soil." This is why this valley produces some of the best export quantities of mouth-watering peaches, apricots, apples, pears and grapes. The latter enable the wine farmers to produce of the finest South African wines. A Breede River wine taste opportunity is a must for every wine lover.

Yes i can! I work for many tour operators in Holland and this is what I could do to promote your resort: producing a short film of your (beautiful) resort and show it on the website of the ANWB, a very imporant player in the Dutch tourism and recreationmarket.

Regards, David
